Newsletter date: 3/25/2005Our meeting was held on January 9, 2005. I would like to thank all of you for taking time out of your schedules to attend and show support for our up and coming alliance.
The massage bill #3976 was addressed once more at the meeting and as you know and was in fact voted down, thanks to all of your phone calls and support. As we speak, there is no doubt it is being rewritten and presented once again the bill’s number will also change. We will keep and ear and eye on this matter as more developments occurred. A special thanks to Valerie Voner for her alertness and experience in this field for bringing this bill to all of our attention at a Mar meeting last year hosted by Phyllis Garvey. Without Val’s input on this matter there is no doubt this bill could have slipped through. Val informed us of procedure to follow and who to call and even helped some of you new to this with your wording on the matter. As always thank you Valerie. A true Pioneer.

Questions about one of the new Reflexology Certification Boards out there
(RACB) Reflexology and Acupressure Certification Board. It is the position of The NorthEast Alliance of Reflexologist not to back this board because Reflexology is, and should remain a healing modality separate from all others, and any all- encompassing organizations.

ARCB Continuing Education requirements were discussed, as was the procedure in which to receive your hard earned C.E.U.S. to be in fact recognized by the ARCB. Please call them before you pay and take your class to understand the procedure you must follow and fee owed if any to receive your ARCB renewal membership.
